Gennerally no. Only time it will be better is when you compare four 2gb dims in a 4 channel setup, compared to 3 4gig ones. But if you only have 8 gigs in a 4channel system, you are doing something wrong. And even then, unless you have really, really memory-intensive programs, you won't notice a difference.
