It doesn't matter. I would recommend doing it at least before Project Overlord. Personally, I do it in the post-game. The final squadmate that you get, , was originally meant to join your team far earlier.

"Hidden Ones" and "Curse Of The Pharaohs" are fun to play and to explore, also both storys are nice, but the end from "COTP" is little disappointing for my opinion, i found the end of "Hidden Ones" much better. But yeah both DLCs are worth buying. Most definitely worth it. CotP is epic.
