It depends what sort of RAM it is. If it's DDR3, 1.5V is the default setting. If it's DDR4, 1.5V is an overvolt, but not uncommon for heavily overclocked memory, and is unlikely to cause any damage. The default voltage of DDR4 is 1.2V, and most XMP kits use 1.35V, but very high-end kits can go up to about 1.65V.
