Should i play monster hunter world before iceborne?
I recommend this, because the base game content will be irrelevant (in terms of almost everything) for the most part if you decide to do it after you start Iceborne. That's why recommend doing everything before moving on for good. It is still relevant, in the sense that you will want to unlock those ingredients etc.

Rise only has two elder dragons to defeat, and the game ends without credits. After players defeat the two elder dragons, NPCs mention that there's a new dark force looming, but the player never actually receives instructions on how to conquer this new foe, or even what that enemy is.
