Why zane is a robot?

In the episode Tick Tock, it is revealed that he is a robot, referred to as a "Nindroid" (a compound word combining “ninja” and “android”). He was made by Dr. Julien to protect those who can't protect themselves. He was chosen to protect the Green Ninja along with the other three Ninja.
