Can you replay heists for money?

On 2nd playthrough you dont get that bonus anymore, still you get the normal pay. There is a huge point in replaying heists if you complete additional challenges. Some of the challenges can pay up to 1mil extra on top of normal pay. Why do people drop out in the middle of an online GTA V heist?

If you're replaying a heist, you just have to call Lester and select your heist. For Doomsday, you just gotta go to your facility, pay the set up cost and then you'll be able to start it again.
