If you have any accounts with a VAC or game ban in any game (including Rust) that is less than 180 days old, you will be banned from our servers. Accounts linked to more than 1 Rust game ban will be banned permanently.

What happens if you get vac banned?
VAC bans prevent you from playing on secured servers across all of Steam. Server administrators may issue a Server ban, but these are not as severe as a VAC ban. We cannot prevent Server bans at Valve; whoever runs the server can ban players for any reason they desire.

Can you make a new account if you get vac banned?
After being VAC banned, you are banned from using “game share”, i.e. the Steam family sharing feature with any VAC protected games. Hence, your new profile cannot share VAC protected games with the old profile, nor can you play those games from the old profile with your new profile.
