Playing multiplayer does not increase game difficulty in Classic Mode outside of invasions, making multiplayer useful for defeating difficult bosses or events. Can master chief beat doom slayer?
Chief literally couldn't kill Doomslayer because he's an infinite, prophetic barrier between Hell and Earth. He's less of a being than he is an integral part of the universe. Chief hands down.

What is harder about master mode?
In Master Mode, especially when first starting out, you'll find very quickly that every enemy is more deadly than they were before. Able to soak up more damage and regenerate, you'll need to switch up your tactics, at least until you can find a good source of durable weapons.

Should i play terraria first time expert or normal?
Enemies deal much more damage and have more health, debuffs last twice as long, and several bosses behave differently. It's recommended that you play Normal mode first to get a feel of the game.
