Why is nintendo against melee?

Nintendo does not hate Melee. However, they're aware that there are (unintended) features in Melee that impacted the multiplayer a lot. For example the moonwalk & wave slide/dash were not supposed to be in the game. And these features greatly benefited some characters compared to others.
