While the patch notes for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's 4.01 update claim it "improves the overall stability and performance of the game", if you're not using the recently added ray tracing settings, it might well do the opposite.

That said, I highly suggest saving all of the junk you gather up from progressing and completing quests, to later be sold for one big payout. Also if you are not at the required level just yet to have a character with a level seven Barter skill just save your junk until you have one.

Should i buy the witcher 3 on steam or gog?
GoG version is cheaper than steam, especially so if you have the previous witcher titles redeemed there. It gives Neverwinter Nights diamond edition as a gift for preorder. Upon release, it is also going to give refund, too (so you probably can buy one more excellent game from them, or something).
