Is magic build good dark souls 2?
it honestly makes very little difference regardless of the staff or spell used. while there is obviously a difference in damage output, its NOTHING like what the staff stats say. if a staff has slightly less "damage" from magic/dark than another staff, its going to do about the same damage on every spell.
