Is miles morales better than the original spider-man game?

In a lot of ways, I liked Spider-Man: Miles Morales more than Insomniac's first Spider-Man game—which I also liked quite a bit. It refined some aspects of that first game, and more importantly, it felt like a tighter experience overall, with its shorter runtime and more focused story.
