The only time I know of that a video game can cause physical damage to your machine is when too much heat is generated and it warps and shorts the many billions of nanometer-scale connections within your CPU, GPU, or RAM. Mods can't break your computer. Poor ventillation, too much overclocking or faulty hardware can.
