For 144Hz, 8gb is kind-of OK, for most BR games(valorant needs a 1050Ti for 1080p 144Hz) and settings can be tweaked better for other games. I still recommend getting 1660 if you have an i5 8th gen or better. Try using a 4GB stick with 8gb, 12gb is appropriate both cost effective and recommended for ram heavy games.
