How do you defend in 2k?

Tap the Icon Swap bumper and icons will appear above the players on your team. You can choose any defender with this tool by selecting the icon hovering above them. This is useful for defending the player with the ball or shadowing someone who's roaming on the perimeter.

They're both the same. It's all about where your friends play, imo. Even the one thing that PS5 is clearly superior, the controller, (adaptive triggers), doesn't really have any use in 2k so it doesn't even matter.
